How to Make Marijuana Tea?

Getting a cup of coffee or tea in the morning is a common practice. You get an energy boost from a dose of caffeine to get you through the morning. As the body adjusts to the caffeine, you need two or more cups of tea to feel the effects. Consider brewing some marijuana tea instead of consuming an entire mug of liquid every morning. You’ll be astounded by the difference even a small amount of marijuana makes.

People who prefer not to smoke or vape cannabis should drink marijuana tea. If you have a crucial meeting coming up and don’t want to leave marijuana smoke on your breath, choose tea.

Why Tea?

While marijuana tea functions similarly to other cannabis edibles, it differs from cakes and cookies in that it contains marijuana in a liquid form. People who avoid consuming the sugar, gluten, and fatty substances included in baked products favor weed tea. Additionally, you can prepare your own weed tea instead of purchasing it from a marijuana retailer. Whatever your motivation, it’s amazing how much control you have over your high when you make marijuana tea at home.

Use the same caution when drinking tea as you would when consuming other consumables. Pay attention to the dosage. Compared to vaping and smoking, edibles have a delayed effect but typically hit a little harder. Your laid-back morning could go south if you drink too much tea or brew it too strongly. Most people who overindulge in edibles report having a horrible experience as a result. Among other side effects, you can get a headache, feel woozy, or start to feel paranoid.

Marijuana Tea Dosage

The potency, or THC level, of the weed you use will determine how strong your tea will be. Choose the strain that best suits you, and you are free to go as high or low as you choose. The general practice is to add a zero to the end of the THC concentration listed on the cannabis buds when calculating the strength of your tea. The result will be a rough estimation of the milligrams of THC present in your cup of tea. Consider adding one gram of cannabis with 15% THC to your tea. Your tea will contain 150 mg of THC as a result of the concentration. The rule is not absolute, though; other variables come into play. Use it to assist you in maintaining a secure or practical dose.

Making Marijuana Tea

Tea preparation takes roughly 20 minutes. It is not sufficient to just pour some marijuana into a cup and start drinking. Only do this if you don’t mind some mushy, ineffective buds. There are several actions to be taken. Not to worry, though. It’s not that challenging.

Using Ground Cannabis

What you need:

-1 tablespoon coconut oil or unsalted butter

-4 cups water

-1 gram ground cannabis

-1 tea bag

-Strainer or cheesecloth

-Add whatever additional ingredients you like, such as cinnamon, honey, milk, or sugar.

-A mug and a spoon

This recipe yields around three standard-sized cups of tea. Allow only one cup of tea per person, and refrain from working heavy machinery or driving a car for the next two hours.

Method:

  1. Bring the four cups of water to a boil over medium heat. Add the tablespoon of coconut oil or butter after it begins to bubble. Allow it to come to a boil and then dissolve. THC can adhere to the surface of the oil and butter.
  2. Turn down the heat a bit after adding the gram of marijuana to the boiling water so that it simmers. Allow 15 minutes for this. Veteran stoners stew the marijuana for a longer time with very low heat. This procedure not only increases THC extraction but also keeps the marijuana’s flavor. When temperatures are too high for too long, terpenes burn readily.
  3. Strain out the cannabis after about 20 minutes. Secure the cheesecloth or strainer to the top of a glass jar or teapot. For a more secure hold, use a rubber band or string. Pour the hot water onto the cheesecloth or sieve while being cautious not to spill any of it. To be able to capture even the tiniest cannabis particles, the strainer should have incredibly small holes.
  4. Put your tea bag in the teapot or jar. Additionally, you are free to add any flavors you like, such as honey, lemon, mint, or cinnamon. Stir thoroughly after five minutes. The flavors assist in muting the herbaceous marijuana flavor.
  5. Take the cinnamon stick and tea bag out. Stir quickly the remaining ingredients in the jar until all the butter has been infused. Fill your cup with tea, then sip it.
  6. To help counteract the flavor of the cannabis, some individuals add milk and sugar. However, the flavor might not completely go.

Using Cannabis Butter or Oil

What you need:

-1 teaspoon cannabis butter or oil

-1 tea bag

-1 cup of water

-Add whatever additional ingredients you like, such as cinnamon, honey, milk, or sugar.

-A teaspoon and a mug

Method:

  1. In your tea mug, place the teaspoon of cannabis butter.
  2. Include the tea bag.
  3. Bring the water in your cup to a boil on the burner.
  4. Fill the mug with the hot water. With a spoon, quickly stir the entire mixture until all the oil or butter has been dissolved.
  5. Put some of your preferred ingredients inside the mug, such as honey or a cinnamon stick, and let it settle for a while. The flavors mask the cannabis butter’s flavor and scent.
  6. Take the tea bag out. If you’d like, you can remove the cinnamon stick as well.
  7. Try it out to see whether you enjoy the flavor and taste. You might want to include a few extra ingredients. Other additives make the tea more palatable, even if you can’t totally mask the taste of marijuana.
